Fragrance Marketplace is back! (for now) please read and follow our latest rules and join our backup group: Fragrance Marketplace 2.0

(Any other group claiming otherwise is fake, there are many fake Fragrance Marketplace groups on Facebook, please be diligent).

  • The primary purpose of this group is to serve as a safe and friendly marketplace for discussions, sale and swap of fragrances. Attempts to exploit this page to promote your brand, website, social media, YouTube, group, or sales of your product outside of this group will not be permitted. We reserve the right to deem any post as improper including but not limited to controversial, memes, political or “scent me” posts.
  • Blocking the accounts or continuous opposition to Admin/Moderator’s decision will result in a ban. We retain the right to operate the group according to our discretion. Members are also to assume all risks when doing business in the group without the need for Admin/Moderator’s intervention.
  • All items are presumed to be “as is” unless mentioned. Members are encouraged to do their due diligence with swap/sale via Authenticity check, Legit Check, Paypal G&S or Admin Brokerage. Negotiate terms for the swap values and/or what will happen if the package is lost in transit is required. In absence of this negotiation, our house rules are that all parties split the purchase price with shipping, and that swaps are paid out. Items must be shipped out within 48 business hours unless stated.
  • If you mention anything in regards to selling or swapping, even if commenting within another sales/swap post, please include a price in the original post or in the comments below. Swaps must have a PERCEIVED PRICE VALUE or what fragrance you are specifically seeking in return. “What’s for swap or sale” posts are not allowed, keep them separate. Fragrance level line must be marked in photos.
  • Disagree with a price? Provide a comment with a URL to a reputable website that proves a better price or keep scrolling. Bashing, crying, harassing, insulting, etc. about other’s prices are not allowed.
  • Discrimination of any kind are not tolerated. This includes bullying, hate speech, condescension, sexual innuendos, and general unfriendliness.
  • Utilize the group search bar, post history, eBay/Mercari or credible grey markets to determine the best pricing.
  • If you believe a scam has occurred, contact the Admins directly via private message. DO NOT create a public post calling out other members without Admin approval. This includes screenshots, photos and mentions of their names, profile or photos. Bash posts about brands, brand owners, websites, and NON-members are admissible.
  • Auctions. No discussion, no talking, only bids. Every comment counts as one bid. Auctions have a minimum AND maximum increment of $5. Constant bid retraction will lead to being muted/banned.
  • Waffles and Auctions are only permitted if you are a Trusted Member. To learn more, please click on the group’s ABOUT section and view the appropriate links.
  • Utilization of content without the rightful owner’s permission and sales/swaps involving counterfeits/stolen products are both prohibited. Empty bottles/refills/flacons can only be listed if authorized by Moderators/Admins. This list is Non-Exhaustive.
  • Brand names are not allowed in any photos/comments/posts. Please use FM’s abbreviation or a similar term instead. We reserve the right to remove any content that is too similar to a brand name. Additionally, designer brand names appearing in any photos/images must be redacted. (Ex: KLN Back to Black, BVLG Tygar, BYDO Mojave Ghost, GVNC Gentlemen, CHE Narcisse, CRD Aventus, Lab Santal 33, Fjord Tobacco Vanille, LSY Y edp, Mr.K Grand Soir, MDP Herod). Symbols/emojis relating to $ are not allowed.

Essential Information

Reminders:
  • Check your MESSAGE REQUESTS & Spam Folder.
  • We love seeing great photos of your collection/shelves/bottles, local member meetups, post them.
  • Create Events for local meet ups.
  • Go Live in the group!

More info on Group Rules:

  • The Admins have lives outside of Facebook believe it or not, we do not sit around all day reading every single comment. Some of us even filter the group by newest post, not by most recent activity. Reporting to Admins is an amazing feature that will alert us;

  • ∗∗∗Do Not price police –> One way to get around this rule is just add a LINK to a legit retailer/grey market website in their post as a proof you can get it cheaper if you wish to be a price police.∗∗∗
  • You are allowed to post non-fragrance items up for swap as long as you are asking for fragrances in return.
  • If you comment on a “What’s for Sale/ISO” post, list your price ALWAYS (group rule).
  • Small brand (Indie) self-promotion are ONLY allowed on Mondays;
    • Youtube videos, Links to other Groups and Website Links are still not allowed.

Common Sense:

  • If a website has Aventus for $50, what makes you think it is authentic?
  • ~95% of scams DO NOT happen in Fragrance Marketplace, we just allow people to post about it in here to warn the community (after Admin approval).
    • Keep in mind that MANY scammers that we have removed, are still lurking in other groups (familiarize yourself with their photos, payment info, names, URL, etc… link to the list of Known Scammers in the Group’s ABOUT ME section.

Activities:

  • If you are doing a giveaway that requires zero money, Admin approval is not needed.
  • Test your luck by playing waffles (we call it a “waffle” because “raffle” will get the post removed by Facebook).
    • DO NOT put any notes when you pay via F&F for Waffles, multiple offenses will get you removed from the group.
Buying:
  • FM Leadership will NOT get involved with international transactions or decants, they are at your own risk.
  • When in doubt, do a legit check or utilize the group’s search bar by typing in their name (make sure their profile URLs matches). Literally nobody gets upset if you do one on them.
  • Utilize Admin Brokerage or G&S.
  • If a seller REFUSES a legit check or Brokerage, alert the Admins immediately.
  • Screenshot the original listing when you make a purchase.
  • If decants are not in transparent bottles, do not proceed with transaction.
  • Ask for photos of the juice level, batch code, any specific damages, etc…
  • You have 14 business days starting the day after the arrival of your item for full inspection/authenticity check [Statute for limitation], any issue afterwards is solely a personal issue between buyer and seller to resolve without any involvement from Admins.
  • Do a shoutout post for your seller if everything went well, it only benefits the community as a whole.

Selling:

  • Utilize the group search history, ebay, forums, aura fragrance, fragranceX, fragranceNet, fragranceBuy, Notino to determine best pricing.
  • Get in the habit of putting “for swap only, sell only or swap/sale”, it will save your inbox from stupid offers.
  • Utilize Admin Brokerage or G&S.
  • Please write out the entire fragrance Brand, Name and level percentage to help aide our visually impaired community.
    • Along with stating your bottle’s % left, draw a line showing the levels.
  • Always include good photos + batch codes (it will help admins when we need to get involved) plus protect you as a seller from switcharoo type of scams.
  • Add the the shipping costs to your TOTAL price or write out “+shipping”.
  • Do not delete your post after you make a sale (this is your track record in the group), update the post to “Sold” instead.
  • Use Pirateship to make your labels, stop standing in line at the Post Office.
  • Tom Ford Dramming Bottles are NOT TO BE RESOLD in FM without the approval of Admin Nghia Tran or Tiffany Harrigan.
